5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and refund rights depend on the type of service purchased and any specific booking conditions communicated at the time of purchase.
- Course-based services: Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds, if any, may be subject to an administrative fee and may depend on the timing of cancellation relative to the course start date.
- Private lessons: Cancellations should be made within the notice period stated at booking. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.
- Missed sessions: If you do not attend a scheduled class, you are generally not entitled to a refund or replacement session unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
- Our cancellations: If we cancel a session for reasons within our control, we will offer a replacement session, credit, or refund at our discretion, unless otherwise required by law.
Where mandatory consumer rights apply, these Terms shall be interpreted in a manner consistent with such rights. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have.
6. Liability Limitations
Participation in swimming and aquatic activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, drowning, collisions, overexertion, and injuries arising from physical activity or water exposure. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks to the extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nordisk Svømmeakademi shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of enjoyment.
Our liability for direct loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the extent permitted by law and, where applicable, to the amount paid for the relevant service, unless the loss was caused by our gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or another basis for liability that cannot be excluded under law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited by law.
